More Than a Café
Casa de Ciclistas started as a place for cyclists, travelers, and locals to gather around good food, coffee, and stories. It still is. But over time, it became something more.
Through our connection with Dulce Amazónica — a cultural embassy on the same block — every visit to Casa de Ciclistas is quietly connected to a wider mission: the indigenous communities of the Colombian Amazon.
- The ice cream at Dulce Amazónica is made from fruits sourced from nomadic Amazonian communities.
- The artesanías on display are made by indigenous craftspeople from 20 different communities.
- A rotating indigenous ambassador lives here each month, available for conversations and FaceTime sessions with visitors who want to learn.
- The free morning bike rides are led by Marcel, who also runs humanitarian cycling expeditions deep into the Amazon.
None of this requires you to do anything special. Just eating breakfast here, ordering a coffee, or joining a morning ride puts you in the middle of something that matters.
You don’t have to go to the Amazon to connect with it. You just have to show up.
