Brunch in Guatapé is not a well-served category. Most places in town are set up for quick tourist turnarounds — plates out, tables cleared, next group in. Casa de Ciclistas works differently. The breakfast menu runs until mid-afternoon. The tables do not turn on a schedule. If you want to sit over a second coffee and a piece of sourdough for two hours on a Saturday morning, nobody is going to rush you.
We are at Calle 32 #28-91, open from 7:30am every day except Tuesday.
What’s on the Brunch Menu
Shakshuka
Eggs poached in a spiced tomato and pepper base. One of the most satisfying things on the menu — properly seasoned, served with sourdough bread baked that morning from a starter that is over 200 years old. A dish worth ordering slowly.
Turkish Eggs
Poached eggs over yogurt, with butter and a chili oil finish. Rich, layered, and unlike anything else available in Guatapé. The yolk break is the moment. Order it with sourdough toast.
Sourdough Toast
Made from a 200-year-old starter, baked fresh every morning before we open. By the slice, with butter and jam, or as a base for the egg dishes. The crust is proper — you hear it when you cut through. It is gone by mid-morning most days, so arriving before 10am is recommended if the bread is the reason you came.
Granola Bowls
House granola with fresh fruit and yogurt. A lighter option for people who want something substantial without the eggs.
Fresh Juices and Smoothies
Including juices and smoothies made from Amazonian fruits — copoazú, arazá, borojo — sourced through Dulce Amazónica, our fair-trade partnership with 21 Indigenous communities in the Colombian Amazon. Flavors that do not exist anywhere else in Antioquia.
Colombian Coffee
Single-origin, prepared to the bean. Espresso, pour-over, tinto, or café con leche. Tell us what you are in the mood for and we will suggest the right method for what is on the menu today.
Pastries
Fresh from the kitchen each morning. Rotating selection — ask the team what came out of the oven today.
When to Come
The brunch menu is available from 7:30am until mid-afternoon every day except Tuesday. There is no reservation required, no time limit on the table, and no pressure to move once you are settled. Weekend mornings are busier — arriving before 10am gives you more choice on the bread and pastries and a quieter table.
Where We Are
Casa de Ciclistas is in central Guatapé at Calle 32 #28-91 — a short walk from the malecón and the Avenue of the Umbrellas. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good light in the morning. The kind of space that makes a slow brunch worth having.

What time does brunch start?
7:30am. The full menu is available from opening. There is no separate brunch service — the breakfast and brunch menu runs continuously until mid-afternoon.
Do I need a reservation?
No. Walk-ins only. Arrive early on weekends if you want first choice on the sourdough and pastries.
Is the shakshuka good here?
It is one of the most-ordered dishes on the menu. Spiced tomato base, poached eggs, sourdough on the side. Worth the visit on its own.
Do you serve brunch on weekends?
Every day except Tuesday. No difference in menu between weekdays and weekends.
Is there a vegetarian brunch option?
Yes. Shakshuka, Turkish eggs, granola bowls, sourdough with toppings, and fresh juices are all vegetarian. Several options are also vegan — ask the team.
How long can I stay?
As long as you want. No time limit on tables.
Is the sourdough really from a 200-year-old starter?
Yes. The starter has been maintained continuously and is fed every morning before the café opens. The bread is baked fresh each day and is ready at 7:30am.
